Boy...Pants... Bomb

Long title:
Boy, these 2XU Compression recovery Pants are Da Bomb

As you should know, I am raising money for the MARSOC Foundation (feel free to donate at the link above) by running in the Grindstone 100 Mile mountain race. This, as you might imagine, requires that I run a lot in preparation. Last Saturday I completed a brisk 30 mile run from my home in Hubert, up highway 24, past Western Blvd, over the metal bridge, along the bike trail to Highway 17 and back. Temperatures were in the low 90’s except for the part where it started storming, but that is not the real story. The real story is that after finishing my run and preparing to go to bed I decided to sleep in a pair of recovery pants, (OK, their tights), sent to me by my good friends at 2XU Compression wear. I slept like a baby, and woke up feeling as good as new. I suspected some form of black magic, but the 2XU website claims that “By offering graduated pressure, 2XU Compression garments work to improve the recovery cycle by helping the pumping action of the cardiovascular system; removing blood lactate from exercising muscles leading reduced swelling, faster muscle repair and reduction in muscle soreness.”
2XU has a full line of Perform, X-Form and Refresh products for activity and recovery. While I haven’t had the opportunity to try out everything that they sent me, and I still suspect some form of magic may be at work, I can definitely recommend the recovery wear, and will be posting my thoughts on thier other products as well.
